Born on March 7, 1952, in the USA, Charles Gregory Ross was an Emmy nominated hairstylist who worked with some of the biggest names in the film and TV entertainment world. Ross started his career in the early 1990s when he was the hairstylist on TV series and movies like Drop Squad, Miss Evers’ Boys, Mama Flora’s Family, Remember the Titans, Boycott, and Lackawanna Blues. He achieved fame after being the key hair stylist on the popular TV series House of Payne. He then became the departmental hairstylist for shows and movies like Meet the Browns, Black Dynamite, Madea Goes to Jail, Pastor Brown, I Can Do Bad All by Myself, and The Wronged Man.

His career was even better in the 21st century when he worked on TV series and movies like Single Ladies, The Trip to Bountiful, The Red Road, Red Band Society, All Eyez on Me, Escape Plan 2: Hades, Vice, Scream: The TV Series, A Fall from Grace, Zola, and The United States vs. Billie Holiday. He worked especially well with filmmaker Tyler Perry and was an important part of his crew on several famous movies including the Oscar-winning team for Vice. Perry wrote a tribute himself when Ross passed away last year and mourned the loss of a gifted colleague who had added value to so many of his film projects.
